PostSubject: Quotes for sharing   Tue Nov 25, 2008 12:05 am

Well i just want to shares quotes2 aja

most of the quotation ga ada hubungan sama christianity sih
tapi aq rasa ga ada salahnya kita ambil waktu sejenak untuk merenungkan
(cieleh kata2ku kaya sok2an gt.LOL)

well lets start la ya
1.Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance. They awaken us to new understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same.

2.The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even touched - they must be felt with the heart.

3.Just because you know someone doesn't mean you love them,
and just because you don't know people doesn't mean you can't
love them. You can fall in love with a complete stranger in a
heartbeat, if God planned that route for you. So open your heart
to strangers more often. You never know when God will throw
that pass at you.

4.Character cannot be developed in ease and quiet. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, ambition inspired, and success achieved

5.The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather in a lack of will

dah kasi 5 dulu biar dicerna klo suka ntar aq tambahin lagi klo ga suka ga papa diem2 aja
HAHAHAHAHA.

Klo ada yang mau nambahin gpp tambahin aja biar kita bisa saling share gt.mwahhahahaha

adios

2.Ever has it been that love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation

Please cite the name of those who said it, if not it is not honoring those who said it.

My quotation will 'smell' of apologetics anyway, so read carefully.

"If the solar system was brought about by an accidental collision, then the appearance of organic life on this planet was also an accident, and the whole evolution of Man was an accident too. If so, then all our present thoughts are mere accidents—the accidental by-product of the movement of atoms. And this holds for the thoughts of the materialists and astronomers as well as for anyone else’s. But if their thoughts—i.e. of materialism and astronomy—are merely accidental by-products, why should we believe them to be true? I see no reason for believing that one accident should be able to give me a correct account of all the other accidents. It’s like expecting that the accidental shape taken by the splash when you upset a milkjug should give you a correct account of how the jug was made and why it was upset."

C.S. Lewis (1898–1963), The Business of Heaven, Fount Paperbacks, U.K., p. 97, 1984.

"Men became scientific because they expected Law in Nature, and they expected Law in Nature because they believed in a Legislator. In most modern scientists this belief has died: it will be interesting to see how long their confidence in uniformity survives it. "

Lewis, C.S., Miracles: a preliminary study, Collins, London, p. 110, 1947.

Yes, C.S Lewis of Narnia fame.

"This most beautiful system of the sun, planets, and comets, could only proceed from the counsel and dominion of an intelligent and powerful Being....This Being governs all things, not as the soul of the world, but as Lord over all; and on account of his dominion he is wont to be called Lord God "pantokrator," or Universal Ruler...."

--> pantokrator is Greek word which is usually translated as 'Almighty'.

"Gravity explains the motions of the planets, but it cannot explain who set the planets in motion. God governs all things and knows all that is or can be done."

Sir Isaac Newton, probably the greatest genius and scientist that has ever walked on Earth.
